Winter is always a difficult time for Angel Connection. The demand for food and other household supplies often goes up, while donations frequently go down. You can drop off donations each Sunday in the bin under the Missions and Outreach table in the Commons.
Angel Connection also accepts donated gift cards, which are used for families in emergency situations.
The following items are always needed:
- Canned fruits
- Canned vegetables (corn and green beans are usually NOT needed)
- Pastry/dessert items
- Pancake mix
- Peanut butter
- Condiments (mustard, ketchup, etc.)
- Ready-made meals
- Macaroni and cheese
- Spaghetti and sauce
- Laundry detergent
- Dishwashing soap
- Cleaning products of all kinds
- Toiletries (deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.)
- Paper supplies (tissues, toilet paper and paper towels)
During the first quarter of 2017, Angel Connection will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the following days:
- January 18
- February 8

- March 8
- March 22
Volunteers are always needed to assist people through the pantry. Angel Connection is located at 7739 N. 600 West, roughly a mile north of Outlook.
This year, 80 families who could use an assist will have an opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving together with a traditional Thanksgiving meal because of Outlook’s heart for outreach. Of the 80 families we will be serving, 52 of them have children who attend the following schools: IPS 105, Indian Creek Elementary, Mt. Comfort Elementary, and Mount Vernon High School. Seven of the families are supported by our local ministry partner, Angel Connection.
Of the 80 families whom we will serve, Outlookers have:
Stepped up to assemble & deliver baskets;
Donated money to help purchase meals;
Outlook children and youth have donated a significant amount of food to get the grocery list started.
As a result of donated turkeys from Sam’s club, your gracious monetary donations and supplies, God has supplied the exact amount needed to cover the exact needs!
On Thursday, as we all sit at our Thanksgiving dinners, please pray for the 80 families whose lives we touched because God put us in this place at this time and gave us this opportunity.
All of the items listed below are greatly needed. This donation drive runs from Sunday April 6th thru Sunday April 27th.
Look for the rolling cart generally used for collection items. It will have an “Angel Connection” sign on it. Here is a current list:
FOOD ITEMS NEEDED:
Canned meats (tuna, chicken, etc)
Boxed Mac ‘n cheese
Pasta (for the sauce)
Canned Ravioli & Spaghetti-O’s
Catsup & Mustard
PERSONAL CARE & CLEANING ITEMS:
All Purpose Spray Cleaner
Toilet Bowl Cleaner
Besides actual food donation, gift cards (Walmart, Kroger, Marsh, Gas America) or monetary assistance is always appreciated.
Angel Connection accept anything, but has another source for boxed Hamburger Helper meals, toilet paper & laundry detergent so that is why they are not listed.
Thank you for your generosity & willingness to give!
